Pre-Assessment
The pre-assessment portion is incorporated in the Multiple Inquiry Lesson, namely the SmartBoard presentation. During the presentation, students will have to work collaboratively alongside the teacher to assess their knowledge of the tragic genre, Shakespearean dialect, and literary terms before beginning the play. This brief 7 question quiz is a lax assessment with the incorporation of technology to encourage students to prepare themselves for the content within this unit.
This link for this assessment can be found under the "Lessons" tab, Lesson #1, SmartBoard lesson, slide #6. Correct answers will be revealed after completion of the activity. There is also a character matching graphic organizer to aid students throughout their reading and managing character webs, as well as a Shakespearean dialect log for easier reading.
